MS3 tubes are manufactured from first quality domestic specialty precipitation hardening stainless steel strip, seam welded, cold drawn and butted, and then precision vacuum heat treated using aerospace specifications to an amazing tensile strength of 200 ksi (1400 MPa). This means MS3 variable wall thickness (“butted”) tubes have a strength-to-weight ratio rivaling or exceeding the best heat-treated titanium and aged aluminum tubing on the market.
